If you’re stopping overnight or staying longer the Murwillumbah Motor Inn has a complete range of options for singles, couples, groups and families. We start with twin singles and have room and bedding configurations for every combination; queen and twin singles, two queens, through to two bedroom apartment style accommodation for families and groups. The rooms come equipped with television and Foxtel channels, an iPod dock, and light cooking facilities that include a refrigerator, microwave oven, a toaster and kettle for tea and coffee making.

With it’s central position in the Tweed Shire, the Murwillumbah Motor Inn is an excellent place to launch your NSW holiday, or if you like, your Gold Coast holiday experience. With Tweed Heads just a half hour up the coast, and before you know it, you are standing in Queensland. The delights of a beach holiday are unmistakeable, but not to experience the wonders of five heritage listed rainforest parks that are accessible from Murwillumbah would be a shame.

From Murwillumbah you can travel to Wollinbin, Mooball, Lamington and Nightcap National Parks. There are plenty of clearly marked bushwalks that will take you an hour to walk, but intrepid hikers can select longer walks — up to five hour long treks. The longest available walk is through the historic Nightcap National Park and that usually takes a day and a half. The walk between Mount Nardi and Rummery Park can be started at either end and overlaps parts of the original trail used by postal workers between Lismore and Murwillumbah in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Camping in the bush is allowed but you need to take your own portable stoves and carry out your own rubbish.

If you need to stockup on provisions, Coles at the Sunnyside Mall is handy, with Fresh Wholefoods organic food store also on Wollumbin Street.

The Murwillumbah Motor Inn is perfect stopping overnight or staying longer, don’t miss this Tweed Shire accommodation just outside the Murwillumbah town centre. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
